Lancaster, TX – April 2025
In a remarkable blend of mentorship, innovation, and inspiration, the Richardson-Plano Kappa League took a deep dive into the future of supply chain and automation with an exclusive walk-through tour of Walmart’s newest automated fulfillment center, located just south of Dallas in Lancaster, Texas.

The visit offered a rare inside look at one of the most technologically advanced distribution hubs in the country, showcasing Walmart’s groundbreaking use of robotics, artificial intelligence, and logistics engineering to redefine how goods are received, stored, and shipped to customers.
Leading the tour were two proud members of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.: Gabe Falo, Assistant General Manager of the facility, and Jonathan Poston, Inbound Receiving Leader. Both Brothers played a key role not only in guiding the students through the high-tech environment, but also in sharing their personal journeys and professional insights—making this tour as educational as it was motivational.

As the students navigated the expansive facility, they observed state-of-the-art automation systems in action: robotic arms sorting packages with speed and precision, conveyor belts zipping products across the warehouse floor, and software platforms coordinating massive logistical operations in real-time. The engineering excellence and operational scale left a lasting impression on the young men, many of whom are exploring potential careers in STEM, business, and logistics.

“This tour opened our students’ eyes to the power of innovation in the supply chain,” said a Kappa League advisor. “It’s one thing to hear about robotics and automation in class—but it’s another to see it up close, being used to solve real-world challenges at this scale.”
Equally important was the representation and leadership shown by Brothers Falo and Guy, who not only hold key positions within Walmart’s operations team but also exemplify what it means to lead with purpose and give back to the community. Their willingness to engage with the students, answer questions, and offer guidance turned the experience into a true mentorship moment.

For the young men of the Richardson-Plano Kappa League—an organization dedicated to developing leadership, academic excellence, and career readiness among high school students—this tour wasn’t just a field trip. It was a front-row seat to the future.
As industries continue to evolve through technology and innovation, experiences like this help bridge the gap between aspiration and opportunity. Whether their futures lie in robotics, engineering, supply chain management, or business strategy, the students left Lancaster with a clearer vision of what’s possible—and a deeper understanding of the paths that can take them there.
